I had the idea awhile ago to do a series of pics for the 4th of July. I actually finished some of the pics two or three weeks ago, and was holding off on posting them. The thing is, and maybe I'm totally just fooling myself here, but I think I've improved in that time. So now that I'm looking over the pics, it kinda looks like I've regressed. I think I'll post them daily instead of one big dump on the 4th. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe by the time Halloween rolls around I'll be more consistent.

If you want to "get good" faster, then I'd recommend focusing on anatomy and proportions and all that non-colouring jazz. An artist only really starts to shine one they can draw their figures in a consistently correct and appealing manner. Then you start worrying about colour.

Took a stab at the 30 min art challenge today anyway, despite the human topic. This was based off of Ninjaham's humanized ponies.

I think it's time to start working on a style that's different from the show's model. This is probably going to take me awhile.
