That first link was so bad I couldn't finish watching it. So which seasons of MLP are actually worth watching?

Really, for the best G1 experience stick to Rescue at Castle Midnight and Escape from Katrina specials.
There are a few decent G1 eps but mostly it's just dumb in that 80's cartoon sense.

G2 can be a guilty pleasure if you're in the right mood.

G3/3,5? Avoid, avoid, avoid. Your life will be better for it.

A couple of days ago I've watched the Runaway Rainbow movie. G3, I think. It was the dumbest thing I've ever seen, but actually pretty entertaining. "Princess Rarity" is an irresponsible child, Rainbow Dash "dahlings" everybody, Spike is a dragon king (or so he says) and Pinkie Pie doesn't do anything worthy of mention.

Oh god.. Rainbow Dash being a fashion diva was the most terrible thing ever.
I mean, at least give her a name more fitting for a Rainbow Dash. When you hear that, you think of something sporty, because of the DASH part.

It was hilariously dumb, especially the part where the search party sets up it's camp only a few feet away from Rarity's (the pony they were looking for) camp and the dumb fucks cannot see each others camp fire and start singing a super dramatic song about how they drifted apart and wish to reunite.

Also G4 Pinkie Pie's voice actress turns up in almost all of these.

My reaction on reading that was "oh come on, it's only 3:30 long, surely can't be that hard to sit through it for that long?"

1:40 in, "OMG I'm only half way in and I think I threw up a bit in my mouth, this is aweful!" I managed to force myself through to the end, but I think it's given me cancer! X(

She's also Fluttershy's VA - and singing voice! I now think of Fluttershy's song in Cutie Mark Chronicles as Andrea Libman's tribute to Lauren Faust for freeing her from the nightmare of the previous generation.

G1 ran on Nightmare Fuel so I was OK with it.

Actually Andrea Libman didn't do anything MLP before The Princess Promenade in 2006. Tabitha St.Germain, however, has been in every single MLP movie since 2003 (apart from "Dancing in the Clouds"). She voiced at least four G3 ponies. ;)
