I've had this character for a while on Ponychan, but since I'm here for a while I might as well post it. This is Dulset Tarn, a kelpie (a lake monster capable of disgusing itself as a horse) from the Everfree Forest. She lures prey to her lake with her enchantingly sweet voice and then drowns and eats them. She is extremely swift underwater but has no combat skills. She later relocates to Ponyville after reading about the "power of friendship" in the ruins of the forest. She seeks to make friends solely to gain this power for herself. She acts kind and compassionate in public but is actually only acting toward her own goals.
As for her name, "dulse" is a type of seaweed, a "tarn" is a type of lake, and the whole thing is a play on "dulcet tone".
Any opinions, FiMchan?

Possible romancing as way to lure ponies? Also start a panic by eating the mayor first. The first rule of an epic, IN MEDIA RES, Start the tale in the middle of the action, say during a furious search for the mayor? Sensuality and great dramatic scenes like in Discord Whooves is what can launch an OC sky high in pony random.At least in tumblr.

Alright so

I have 3 OCs for a fic I'm planning here. The one of the left is supposed to have 'chaotic' personality traits, the right one is a lawful character and the middle is neutral.

I have their names and personalities set already, but I need to think of designs now. How are their colour schemes?

You really need to work on personalitys, inter-personal complications,what they're "arrangement" (siblings,roomates,"just-freinds", ect.) Making an oc that you'll like and want to stick with is hard. Not that I don't like the idea, but it needs some re-tuning. I'll probably be here a while and would love to help. I have a tablet and no pony drawing skills what-so-ever so ill love to help contribute ideas to your well on the way OC idea.

I'm looking for art that was produced by a now-defunct tumblr, known originally as 'Ask Silent Step'. Said tumblr was on an OC pony, blue, with a gold mane, and a cutie mark of a note and horseshoe. The art, which I foolishly never saved any of, was mainly of the NSFW type. What stands out about the art, was that they were not afraid to include and display pony boobage... that is to say, mammary glands located in the anatomically correct location on a pony. Between their hindlegs.

I'm looking for any and all samples of this art to save. If this kind of topic isn't allowed, feel free to delete it. I just wanted to see if I could find any vestiges of this lost tumblr.

Because the ponymaker is so limited in some ways, here are some things I'd like added if you do draw Ether:
-Long white eyelashes
-A look more like "The Last Unicorn" rather than traditonal MLP style (daintier, thinner limbs, unshorn fetlocks!!)
-Feel free to add bandages, medical gauze, or even a medical eyepatch on her left eye. (optional)

Yeah this is my OC, lazy sunday.
He's kind of a lazy douche. Living off disability from the government because he injured his knee in guard training (totally on accident bro). Spends his days just sitting on his couch, playin some games, watching tv and chilling with his friends. Every sunday he goes to the cheap theater in town and watches the chronicles of narnia.
Alot of ponies dont like him, but he doesnt care, he's got his close group of friends, so hes happy.

I really need help for a mane for my OC.

Name: Princess Double, the Changeling Princess
Abilities: Effortless Cloning, each clone is just as powerful as the original, immortality (she makes a new clone upon death)
Personality: Incredibly cheerful, overly eager to please and be accepted, insecure, neurotic, paranoid, easily terrified into an AAAAAH! reaction face
Known for: Her ability to be anypony but herself
Bio: Born from a botched attempt by Queen Chrysalis to produce a succesor using the power of the Elements of Harmony. She's just as powerful as the Elements, alright, but it is almost impossible for her to actually be EVIL. Though mother and daughter love each other, their different personalities cause a lot of conflict.

I was thinking something spiky and upbeat, something insanely poofy and outrageous to offset Chrysalis. Think Pinkie Pie vs Pinakmena.

For manes I think you're on the right track--a sloppier version of Pinkie's would work.

However, this character will likely be poorly recieved because she is a Mary Sue. You can drastically lower the Sue-levels with two changes:

1) Drop the immortality-via-clone-respawns.

2) Drop the "as strong as the Elements." The EoH are the most powerful things known in canon: stronger than a raging moon princess, stronger than a Chaos God. Putting your OC's power level anywhere near that of the Elements is going to tick folks off.

Aside from the Sue-ness, though, she sounds promising.
